• Question: why do we use copper pipeing in our homes

      It doesn’t rust like, its less easy to damage than aluminium and is non toxic like the lead in pipes we used to have. Also its relatively easy to extract from ore. Its not cheap, but it is cheaper than other metals which have similar properties like gold or silver.

      Copper also holds to elastic values that are useful, by using copper the temperature change in this material will allow it to stretch a little bit. And all the other bit that Julie has said.
