      Interesting question:

      The melting point of diamond is 3550 degrees Celsius, and the temperatures of most magmas are in the range of 700 °C to 1300 °C, so if you put a diamond in magma not very much would happen at all, but if you did try, you probably wouldn’t be able to get it back again!
