  A microbiology lab is lots of fun (especially mine, which is open plan so you share the space with over 50 people). What’s nice is that you can do your own work and focus on it if you need to, but when you need a break you can also chat to the other scientists around. It’s a relaxed environment and we often have the radio on (there’s a war between those who love Magic and the those who love XFM). Another thing I love is playing around with lots of complex machines.
