0 Question: Why do clouds turn grey just before it is about to rain Keywords: rain Asked by forrestgump to Alex, Jools, Lynz, Matt, Rika on 22 Jun 2011.
Julie Greensmith answered on 22 Jun 2011:
As the water vapour in clouds turns to rain drops (geographers call it precipitation) the grey colour you see is dust particles and other impurities being trapped in the raindrops I think…..though I’m not an expert in this subject.
