When I was little I wanted to be a spaceman! When I was at school I wanted to be a film director, but I got interested in science as a career when I was in my GCSE classes, I liked the idea of doing investigations for a job.

I’ve changed my mind lots of times, I’ve wanted to be a vicar, an actress, a doctor and a soldier (all true, and I very nearly joined the army!). I realised I wanted to study geology when I was about halfway through my a-levels, but I didn’t make up my mind to go into research until my final year of Uni.
